  Job description

As an Engine Specialist at the Engine department, you are mainly occupied with the following tasks:

  • Develop and lead TDA engine sales team
  • Maintain and grow market share in existing customer base while recognising untapped revenue streams in airlines
  • Create and enhance all teardown models for Commercial engines
  • Create and submit business cases including IRR, NPV, Gross Margin, Residual Core Values, and cash flows for all opportunities on the asset level
  • Review and recommend changes to all analytical data bases while also inventing new ways to analyse data such as a quality index for assigning FMV to particular parts, or overall packages of inventory
  • Work with a team of analysts and developers to create and maintain data bases to make strategic purchases of tier 1 material, while looking to create demand, recognise possible market opportunities, and build/utilise strategic relationships
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to create, enhance, and implement different data reports
  • Possess a drive to acquire new customers
  • Develop sales strategies and market full range of service products
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals and conduct customer presentations
  • Responsible for debit management of respective customers
  • Evaluates marketing strategy based on objectives, market characteristics, and cost and mark up factors
  • Oversees all purchasing and sales for commercial jet engine material requirements
  • Evaluates CFM56 series and V2500 engines for acquisition and/or part out
  • Analyses trends to identify opportunities and markets in the Engine components and products and services to Engine Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Companies & Airlines
  • Coordinates with Quality Focal Point to ensure operations and inventory are in accordance with Aviation Standards
  • Monitors inventories in a cost-effective way to maximise cash flow
  • Attends functions and conferences, ensuring high quality company and department representation

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, aviation technology, economics engineering or business administration
  • 7-10+ years of related experience in the sales of aviation services ( preferably engine MRO services, product and market experience )
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Possess strong negotiation skills, strategic competence, and project management experience
  • Travel required – 30 – 40%. Some international travel
  • Teardown management experience
  • Aviation/MRO industry experience
