About us.
Touchdown Aviation, better known as TDA, was founded in 1982 in Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands, by Nazie El Masry and his wife Patricia. Both brought extensive aviation knowledge and entrepreneurial experience, laying the foundation for what would become a trusted name in the global aviation aftermarket.
Nazie began his carreer as an aeronautical engineer with British Caledonian, which was later acquired by British Airways. His technical expertise and industry insight provided a strong foundation for the company’s growth and long-term success.

During its early decades, TDA’s core business focused primarily on brokering aircraft parts. The company served as a trusted link between airlines, OEMs, and suppliers worldwide, with speed, market expertise, and reliability at the heart of its operations.
By building strong international relationships, TDA established a respected position within the global aviation aftermarket.
What began in the backyard of Nazie’s home, soon expanded rapidly, creating the need for additional warehouse capacity. To support this growth, he acquired an former farmhouse with extensive storage facilities, providing the space required to accomodate a growing inventory and support the company’s continued expansion.
Growing global operations.
Meanwhile, TDA continued its international expansion, with the opening of offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Singapore.
In 2016, TDA Netherlands relocated to a new facility providing four times more warehouse and office space, strategically located just a wingspan away from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. With these developments, the international TDA Group was born.
Today, TDA operates six locations across three continents, providing global component support with the responsiveness, reliability, and personal service that have defined our business.
